Our Authentication Process

Every piece passes a 6-point check before it is listed:

1. Serial number verification — Cross-referenced against Swatch’s manufacturing database via our authorized boutique source
2. Movement inspection — SISTEM51 hand-wound caliber confirmation under loupe, including the signature 51-part assembly markings
3. Bioceramic case verification — Material density and weight check (Bioceramic = approximately 65% castor oil polymer + 35% ceramic powder; ~24g for 40mm case)
4. Dial print analysis — AP × Swatch co-branding font, alignment, and pad-printing depth
5. Case-back engraving — Royal Oak octagonal motif precision, AP × Swatch logo, country of origin

Counterfeits in the Wild

Within 72 hours of the May 16 release, counterfeit Royal Pops appeared on AliExpress, DHGate, and various marketplace sellers. Common fake indicators:

• Plastic case (not Bioceramic) — feels lighter, plasticky
• Quartz movement (not SISTEM51) — ticks instead of sweeps
• Misaligned dial printing, particularly the AP logo
• Incorrect lanyard hardware (steel instead of brass tone)
• Generic box without AP × Swatch co-branding
